Black Eyed Susans

I spent this Saturday wandering out around Nashua with my camera - i took over 450 pictures, trying to make sure i didn't get anybody in a pic - i decided i liked about 170 of them for various reasons but only a few, i decided, were appropriate for the American: Undercover contest....even still, i had a very difficult time deciding which ones to submit.

These were among the ones that did NOT get submitted, but that i REALLY liked or thought were the best shots of the day.

I fell in love with this batch of flowers - and i had to FIGHT with my camera to show how deep the color was (it kept trying to wash it out to a yellow instead of a bright orange)- i wound up darkening it too much, but i still like it better than the others
